Civil engineer with a Master’s degree in Hydraulic Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom. He is a researcher on leave with UNAM’s Engineering Institute (IIUNAM).
Hydrology Engineer (Born on April 22, 1980 in Mexico City), Dr. Breña was a Senior Researcher with the Hydraulics Coordination of II-UNAM. He is an expert in water resources management and engineering. Prior to joining II-UNAM, he was a research associate at the Michigan State University (United States).
Hydraulics Coordinator. He devoted the first part of his career to managing water infrastructure and urban development projects, both in private consultancies and in international non-governmental organizations; projects that allowed him to develop work in four continents.
Dr. Christian Mario Appendini Albrechtsen has a vast experience in research and consulting on oceanography and coastal engineering, with specialty on hydrodynamics, wave propagation, sediment transport, coastal erosion, and coastal management.
